WHITE BEAR LAKE

White Bear Lake is a community filled with small-town charm and big-city attractions. It has a population of 26,000 people and covers 10 square miles. It is located about 20 minutes north east of St. Paul. In the center of the community is a 2,400 acre lake which offers fishing, boating, sailing, and swimming. There are 22 city parks. The White Bear Lake school district is made up of 9 elementary schools, 2 middle schools, 2 high school campuses and 2 alternative learning high schools.

White Bear Lake offers a dynamic business district, a charming downtown, and beautiful residential areas. It also features the White Bear Lake Center for the Arts, Tamarack Nature Center, the Lakeshore Players Theatre and a wide variety of excellent restaurants, specialty shops, art galleries, and sport venues. Summer celebrations such as Manitou Days, MarketFest and the Farmers' Market add to the excitement in White Bear Lake.

HUGO 

The quaint city of Hugo is located about 25 minutes north east of St. Paul in northern Washington County. It has a population of 13,139 (2008) people and covers 36 square miles. There are 13 city parks. Hugo residents can also enjoy the wonderful parks Washington County has to offer including: 6 regional parks, 1 county park, and 2 state parks (William O'Brien and Afton State Park), as well as the Gateway State Trail. These parks contain facilities for a variety of outdoor activities including camping, swimming, picnicking, fishing, etc. There are 2 golf courses in Hugo and 20 in Washington County. The City of Hugo is divided among 4 independent school districts. Good Neighbor Days is an annual summer celebration offering carnival rides, attractions, games, and concessions.
